Key Responsibilities For Risk Analyst:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis to identify potential financial, operational, and strategic risks within the organization.
- Develop risk management strategies and policies to mitigate identified risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate risk exposures across various business units and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management best practices and enhance overall risk culture within the organization.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in risk management, financial analysis, or related roles within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, financial modeling, and regulatory requirements in the Canadian financial sector.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key risk indicators.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Desired Skills:
- Professional certification such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CRM (Certified Risk Manager) would be an asset.
- Experience with stress testing, scenario analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in French and English would be considered a strong asset.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Risk Analyst position at Desjardins Group in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada is between $60,000 to $80,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
