Key Responsibilities for Architect:
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop architectural designs that meet project requirements and align with Stantec's design standards
- Prepare and present design proposals, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
- Conduct site visits to assess design feasibility, monitor construction progress, and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Utilize design software and tools to create detailed drawings and 3D models
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver projects on time and within scope
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance design capabilities

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution
- Registered Architect in British Columbia with a valid license to practice
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and project management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices in Canada
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Desired Skills:
- LEED certification or experience in sustainable design practices
- Experience in designing commercial, institutional, or residential projects
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate design concepts effectively to clients and stakeholders

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Architect position at Stantec in Vancouver, British Columbia, is between $80,000 to $110,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
