We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our team and provide high-quality medical assistance within our care homes. Key Responsibilities for Paramedic: - Respond to medical emergencies promptly and provide immediate medical care to residents. - Conduct assessments, administer medication, and implement treatment plans as directed by medical professionals. - Monitor residents' vital signs, document medical information accurately, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care for residents. - Provide guidance and support to care home staff on medical procedures and protocols. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Required Qualifications: - Valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Paramedic. - Diploma or degree in Paramedic Science or related field. - Proven experience working as a Paramedic in a healthcare setting, preferably within a care home environment. - Excellent clinical skills and the ability to make sound medical decisions under pressure. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Desired Skills: - Advanced life support training and certification. - Experience in geriatric care and understanding of the specific medical needs of elderly residents. - Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and infection control practices. - Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. Compensation & Benefits: The annual salary range for the Paramedic position at Care Homes is between £30,000 to £35,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
