Key Responsibilities For Tax Associate:
- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for BlackRock entities
- Assist in tax provision calculations and reporting
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tax planning initiatives
- Assist in responding to tax authorities' inquiries and audits
- Participate in special tax projects and initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in tax accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- CPA certification or progress towards obtaining it is a plus
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Taxation or related field
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Knowledge of international tax laws and transfer pricing
- Familiarity with tax compliance software such as Corptax or Onesource
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Tax Associate position at BlackRock in Des Moines, Iowa, is $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience.
