Key Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain payroll records, including deductions, bonuses, and leaves, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data, such as new hires, terminations, and changes, are reflected in payroll systems.
- Prepare payroll reports for management review and support audits as needed.
- Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure full compliance and recommend process improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Proficiency in payroll software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information securely.
Desired Skills:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
- Experience with ADP or other large payroll processing systems.
- Ability to analyze data and generate insights for process optimization.
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Payroll Specialist position at BlackLine in San Francisco, California, is $60,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
