Position Summary

Lyft is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud VR/AR Developer - Frontend to join our innovative team. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere within the United States. As a Frontend Developer, you will play a critical role in building and enhancing the user interface and experience for our cloud-based VR/AR applications. You will work closely with a talented team of engineers, designers, and product managers to create immersive and engaging experiences that redefine the future of transportation and related services. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend components for our cloud-based VR/AR applications.
• Collaborate with designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality, interactive user interfaces.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using modern frontend technologies.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Optimize frontend performance for a seamless user experience in VR/AR environments.
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs.
• Contribute to the development of our VR/AR platform, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and collaborate effectively with remote team members using tools like Slack, Zoom, and Jira.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in VR/AR and frontend development.
• Participate in virtual team building activities to foster a strong remote team culture.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Must be located within the United States.

Technical Requirements

As a fully remote employee, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:

• Home Office Setup: A dedicated and quiet workspace free from distractions.
• Internet Speed: A reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 50 Mbps and upload speed of 25 Mbps.
• Equipment: Lyft will provide a stipend for setting up your home office, including a laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset.
• Time Zone Requirements: Must be able to work during standard business hours in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) or be able to overlap for at least 4 hours with the PST timezone to collaborate with the team.

Desired Skills

• Experience with VR/AR development using platforms like Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with WebXR.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and animation tools.
• Experience with performance optimization techniques for VR/AR applications.
• Strong understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) principles.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this fully remote position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Lyft offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
