Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Analytics Product Analyst to join our growing Data & Analytics team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. As an Analytics Product Analyst focused on Predictive Modeling, you will play a critical role in developing and deploying advanced analytical solutions that drive strategic decision-making across the firm. You will work closely with attorneys, business professionals, and other data scientists to identify opportunities, define requirements, and build predictive models to solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical requirements.
  • Design, develop, and validate predictive models using various statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
  • Work with large datasets to perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deploy and maintain predictive models in a production environment.
  • Monitor model performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Document model development process, including data sources, algorithms, and validation results.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in data science and predictive modeling.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and collaborate with colleagues across different time zones.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and deploying predictive models.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling techniques such as regression, classification, and time series analysis.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms such as decision trees, random forests, and neural networks.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fully remote environment, managing time and priorities independently.

Technical Requirements

As a remote employee at Skadden, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:

  • Dedicated home office space free from distractions.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum upload/download speed of 25 Mbps.
  • Company-provided laptop and necessary software.
  • Comfortable using virtual communication tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Slack.
  • Ability to work during standard business hours, Eastern Time (ET) is preferred, with some flexibility.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP).
  • Experience with database management systems such as SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Experience working in the legal industry.
  • Experience collaborating on projects using Git or other version control systems.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this remote position is $120,000 - $170,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
