Position Summary
Nationwide is seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences that align with our brand and business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to create seamless and engaging interfaces for our customers. The ideal candidate is passionate about user-centered design and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using industry-standard tools such as Sketch or Adobe XD.
- Conduct usability testing and user research to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Develop information architecture and user flows to optimize navigation and usability.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles across all stages of the product development lifecycle.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback, analytics, and evolving business requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 15 years of professional experience in UX/UI design.
- Proficiency in UX/UI design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Ability to create clear information architecture and intuitive user flows.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Portfolio showcasing relevant design work and problem-solving skills.
Required Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Desired Skills
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
- Experience designing for financial services or insurance industries.
Compensation & Benefits
Nationwide offers a competitive salary range of $57,000 to $99,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
