Position Summary
Segro is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with expertise in water resources engineering to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing water-related projects, including watershed management, hydrology, and environmental impact assessments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for water resource projects.
- Develop and implement watershed management plans to ensure sustainable water use.
- Perform environmental impact assessments for proposed projects.
- Utilize water resource modeling software to simulate and predict system behavior.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Provide expertise in flood risk management and stormwater design.
- Ensure projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 11 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on water resources.
- Proficiency in hydrology and hydraulics, including modeling and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of environmental impact assessment processes.
- Experience with water resource modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar).
- Demonstrated expertise in watershed management and sustainable water practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Required Education
A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in water resources engineering are a plus.
Desired Skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one.
- Experience with GIS applications for water resource management.
- Familiarity with climate resilience and adaptation strategies.
- Project management experience, including budgeting and scheduling.
Compensation & Benefits
Segro offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $91,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
