Key Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist:
- Process and manage payroll for employees accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial regulations related to payroll
- Handle payroll inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to maintain accurate payroll records
- Prepare payroll reports and analysis as required by management

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing and administration
- Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and regulations

- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders effectively
Desired Skills:
- Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is an asset
- Experience working in the banking or financial industry
- Knowledge of payroll tax calculations and reporting
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve payroll issues efficiently
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Payroll Specialist position at Scotiabank in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada is between $55,000 to $70,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
