Key Responsibilities for Cybersecurity Analyst:
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats within SAP Canada's systems and networks
- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and protocols to safeguard sensitive information and mitigate risks
- Monitor security logs and investigate security breaches or incidents to ensure timely response and resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cybersecurity measures and promote a culture of security awareness
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices to proactively address emerging threats
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably within the technology industry
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessment tools
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to problem-solve complex cybersecurity issues effectively
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus
Desired Skills:
- Experience with cloud security solutions and practices
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR, PIPEDA, or ISO 27001
- Ability to conduct penetration testing and risk assessments
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- Proven track record of implementing cybersecurity solutions in a dynamic environment
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Cybersecurity Analyst position at SAP Canada in Victoria, British Columbia, is between $80,000 to $110,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience.
