Key Responsibilities for Mental Health Counselor:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assess and address mental health concerns
- Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients to promote mental wellness

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or relevant regulatory body
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, assessment tools, and evidence-based treatment modalities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills:
- Experience working with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and safety planning
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Mental Health Counselor position at Alberta Health Services in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada is $60,000 to $80,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
