Key Responsibilities for Corporate Finance Associate:
- Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and valuation to support decision-making processes
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and investment memos
- Support senior team members in executing mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions
- Conduct industry research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the market
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of projects

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or related fields
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
- Excellent understanding of financial statements and reporting standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Desired Skills:
- CFA, CPA, or MBA designation/certification is considered an asset
- Experience with financial software and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial industry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Proven track record of successfully supporting complex financial transactions
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Corporate Finance Associate position at CIBC in Longueuil, Quebec, is between $70,000 to $90,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
