This role will focus on tax preparation, tax planning, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax software proficiency, along with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns in compliance with regulations. Assist in tax planning strategies to optimize financial outcomes for the company. Research and interpret tax laws to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and support tax-related decisions. Maintain and update tax records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible. Utilize tax software to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Support audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed. Required Qualifications 3 to 14 years of experience in accounting or tax-related roles. Proficiency in tax preparation, tax planning, and understanding of tax regulations. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience with tax software and financial reporting tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Required Education Others (Relevant certifications or equivalent experience in lieu of a traditional degree will be considered.) Desired Skills Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation. Experience working in a retail or corporate tax environment. Familiarity with Oracle, SAP, or other enterprise accounting systems. Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Compensation & Benefits The Home Depot, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $56,000 to $88,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
