Key Responsibilities for Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Process and post customer payments to accounts accurately and efficiently
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies
- Generate financial reports related to accounts receivable status
- Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries and reconcile accounts
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Desired Skills:
- Experience with automated accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Knowledge of collections procedures and credit risk assessment
- Certification in Accounts Receivable (e.g., CCA) is a plus
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvements
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
