Key Responsibilities for Accounts Reconciliation Specialist:
- Perform detailed reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
- Identify and investigate variances or discrepancies in financial records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve reconciliation issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare reports on reconciliation findings for management review.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of reconciliation processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in accounts reconciliation or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills:
- CPA certification or working towards certification.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in a public accounting firm or corporate finance department.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Accounts Reconciliation Specialist position at RSM US LLP in Anchorage, Alaska is between $50,000 and $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
