Position Summary

Microsoft is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Analytics Statistical Analyst to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere in the USA. As a Statistical Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing large datasets, developing statistical models, and providing data-driven insights to support key business decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, leveraging your expertise in statistical analysis and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement statistical models to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
  • Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and validate findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Create clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality and data collection processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in statistical analysis and data science.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to a collaborative remote work environment.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for statistical analysis within the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in statistical analysis, data mining, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques, such as regression analysis, time series analysis, and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in statistical software packages, such as R or Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Must be able to maintain a secure and reliable home office environment.

Technical Requirements

To be successful in this remote role, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:

  • High-speed internet connection: Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 5 Mbps.
  • Dedicated home office space: A quiet and distraction-free workspace.
  • Reliable computer: A computer meeting Microsoft's minimum hardware and software requirements (details will be provided during the onboarding process).

Compensation & Benefits
