Key Responsibilities for Architect:
- Design and develop architectural plans for residential properties, ensuring compliance with building regulations and client specifications
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineers and project managers, to create innovative and cost-effective design solutions
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and provide guidance to on-site construction teams
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance design processes and outcomes
Required Qualifications:
- RIBA Part 3 qualified Architect
- Proven experience in residential architecture, preferably within the UK construction industry
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policies, and construction processes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders effectively
Desired Skills:
- Experience working on sustainable or eco-friendly construction projects
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Membership with relevant professional bodies, such as RIBA or ARB, is advantageous
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Architect position at Bellway in Oxford, South East England, is £40,000 to £50,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
