Key Responsibilities for Architect:
- Collaborate with project teams to design and develop architectural plans, blueprints, and construction documents
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the design and construction process
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality control
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to address design requirements and project specifications
- Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite for drafting and visualization purposes
- Provide expertise in sustainable design practices and incorporate green building principles into projects

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in architectural design and project management within the construction industry
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software applications
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction processes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Desired Skills:
- LEED certification or experience with sustainable design practices
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or institutional projects
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) software

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Architect position at EllisDon in Toronto, Ontario, Canada is between $70,000 to $90,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
