Position Summary
Pluralsight is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with a focus on Machine Learning to join our growing Data & Analytics team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. As a BI Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining impactful BI solutions that leverage machine learning models to provide actionable insights to various business stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into meaningful visualizations and reports that drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate machine learning models and predictions into BI dashboards and reports.
- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and overall data governance.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing insights to business stakeholders.
- Create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data dictionaries, report specifications, and ETL processes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for BI development.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development, with a focus on data visualization and reporting.
- Strong proficiency in BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Experience working with machine learning models and integrating them into BI solutions.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Excellent SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Must reside in the United States and be eligible to work in the U.S.
Technical Requirements
As a remote employee at Pluralsight, you will be responsible for maintaining a suitable home office environment.
- Dedicated workspace free from distractions.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload).
- Company-provided laptop and necessary software licenses.
- Ability to work effectively during standard business hours within the Mountain Time Zone (MT).
- Ability to participate in video conferences and online meetings.
Desired Skills
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Experience with data governance and data quality management.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this remote position is $90,000 - $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
