Key Responsibilities for By-law Officer:

Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Law Enforcement, Criminology, or a related field
- Certification or training in by-law enforcement or a similar regulatory field
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, by-laws, and legal procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French
- Experience in a similar role within a municipal or government setting
- Training in conflict resolution or mediation
- Knowledge of administrative and court procedures related to by-law enforcement
- Familiarity with database and record-keeping systems
Compensation & Benefits:
The Province of Ontario offers a competitive annual salary range for By-law Officers, typically ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
