Key Responsibilities for Consolidations Accountant:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for consolidation purposes
- Perform intercompany eliminations and reconciliations
- Assist in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA
- 3+ years of experience in financial reporting and consolidations
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with Hyperion or other consolidation software
- Knowledge of IFRS and international accounting standards
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Consolidations Accountant position at SAP in Baltimore, Maryland is $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
