Key Responsibilities for Corporate Accountant:
- Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes
- Support external audits and regulatory compliance efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Skills:
- Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software systems
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Corporate Accountant position at QuickBooks in Portland, Oregon is $60,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience.
