Key Responsibilities for Cost Accountant:
- Analyze and report on costs related to manufacturing processes, products, and services
- Develop cost standards for materials, labor, and overhead
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost control
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to cost accounting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost efficiency
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in cost accounting or a related role
- Proficiency in cost accounting principles and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively
