Key Responsibilities for Credentialing Specialist:

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in provider credentialing within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in credentialing software systems and databases.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with providers, team members, and external stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) credential.
- Experience with Electronic Provider Enrollment systems.
- Knowledge of managed care contracting and payer credentialing processes.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex credentialing data for decision-making purposes.
- Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive provider information with discretion.
