Key Responsibilities for Cyber Security Analyst:
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in the network and systems.
- Monitor and analyse security incidents to detect and respond to cyber threats in a timely manner.
- Implement and maintain security controls to protect BT Group's assets and data from cyber attacks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance the overall security posture of the organisation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of cloud security technologies and practices.
- Experience with incident response and digital forensics.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of staying up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends and threats.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Cyber Security Analyst position at BT Group in Northampton, East Midlands, United Kingdom, is £35,000 to £45,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
