Key Responsibilities For Early Childhood Educator:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children in the early childhood education program.
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
- Conduct assessments and observations to track children's progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
- Adhere to all licensing regulations and maintain accurate records related to student progress and program requirements.

Required Qualifications:
- A valid Early Childhood Education diploma or degree from a recognized institution.
- Current registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators in Ontario or equivalent regulatory body in Prince Edward Island.
- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic educational setting.

Desired Skills:
- Experience working with diverse populations of children and families.
- Familiarity with play-based learning approaches and emergent curriculum development.
- Proficiency in French language skills would be an asset.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Early Childhood Educator position at George Brown College is $45,000 to $55,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
