Key Responsibilities For Early Years Practitioner:
- Plan and implement a range of age-appropriate activities to support children's learning and development
- Provide a safe and secure environment for children to thrive
- Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, changing, and nap times
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community
- Monitor and record children's progress and developmental milestones
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare
Required Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
- Valid and up-to-date Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance
- Understanding of child safeguarding procedures and responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with children and adults

- Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices
- Ability to adapt activities to meet the individual needs of children
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Early Years Practitioner position at Nursery Chains in Edinburgh is £18,000 to £22,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
