Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enterprise Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team, focusing on the SMB (Small and Medium-sized Business) market. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere within the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the SMB segment. You will be a key contributor to our revenue growth by building relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their needs, and demonstrating the value of Discord's solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the SMB market segment.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase Discord's value proposition.
- Negotiate and close complex deals, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in our CRM system.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for remote sales execution.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, with a focus on the SMB market.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the SMB market and its unique needs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales tools.
- Must reside in the United States.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Technical Requirements
As a fully remote employee, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:
- Dedicated home office space free from distractions.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 50 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.
- Company provided laptop and equipment including headset, webcam, and any necessary software licenses.
- Ability to work during core business hours, with some flexibility based on time zone. While flexible, preference will be given to candidates who can overlap with PST business hours (9am-5pm PST).
Desired Skills
- Experience selling SaaS solutions to SMBs.
- Familiarity with Discord and its features.
- Experience using remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000, commensurate with experience and location. In addition to the base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
