Key Responsibilities for Fleet Manager:
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle utilization and efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of company vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate driver schedules, routes, and assignments to maximize productivity and on-time deliveries.
- Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance fleet operations and ensure seamless logistics processes.
- Ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations while promoting a culture of safety and adherence to policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a fleet of vehicles and drivers.
- Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and MS Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Desired Skills:
- Certification in Logistics and Transportation Management.
- Experience with route optimization software.
- Knowledge of sustainable transportation practices.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Fleet Manager position at DHL Canada in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, is between $80,000 to $100,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
