Key Responsibilities For Fleet Manager:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet operations and ensure efficient delivery services
- Oversee fleet maintenance schedules, repairs, and compliance with safety regulations
- Manage a team of drivers, mechanics, and support staff to achieve performance targets
- Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and maintenance costs to improve cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics and enhance overall operational efficiency
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in fleet management within the transportation or logistics industry
- In-depth knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance best practices, and regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external partners
Desired Skills:
- Certification in Fleet Management or related field
- Experience with fleet tracking software and telematics systems
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices in fleet operations
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports for informed decision-making
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Fleet Manager position at Purolator in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada is between $80,000 to $100,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
