Key Responsibilities for Front Desk Agent:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Check guests in and out efficiently, processing payments and providing necessary information
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including managing reservations and room assignments
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Uphold Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' high standards of customer service and hospitality at all times
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in using computer systems and hotel management software
Desired Skills:
- Additional language proficiency is an asset
- Previous experience with Opera or other hotel management systems
- Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options
- Certification in hospitality or tourism-related courses
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Front Desk Agent position at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Calgary, Alberta, is between $30,000 to $35,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
