Key Responsibilities For GL Accounting Supervisor: - Supervise the general ledger accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. - Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies, working closely with auditors during annual audits. - Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - CPA certification preferred. - 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or financial reporting. - Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial accounting principles. - Proven experience in leading and developing a team. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Desired Skills: - Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Prior experience in a public accounting firm is a plus.
