Key Responsibilities For GL Accounting Supervisor:
- Oversee the general ledger accounting functions for PwC's Boston office
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
- Review and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external audit activities
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven track record of process improvement initiatives
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the GL Accounting Supervisor position at PwC in Boston, Massachusetts is $90,000 - $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
