Key Responsibilities for Healthcare Policy Analyst:
- Conduct research and analysis on healthcare policies, regulations, and legislation affecting Mount Sinai Health System
- Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management
- Monitor changes in healthcare policy at the local, state, and federal levels and assess their impact on the organization
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and advocate for policy changes when necessary
- Participate in policy development initiatives and represent Mount Sinai Health System in external policy forums and working groups
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare policy analysis or a similar role
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, reimbursement systems, and policy-making processes
- Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex healthcare data
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Healthcare Policy, Health Economics, or a related field
- Experience working in a healthcare setting or with healthcare providers
- Knowledge of healthcare quality improvement initiatives and value-based care models
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as HIPAA and HITECH
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Healthcare Policy Analyst position at Mount Sinai Health System in Billings, Montana is $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
