As an integral part of our Administrative & Office Support department, the HR Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes.
Key Responsibilities for HR Administrative Assistant:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and facilitating onboarding procedures.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives for employees, including tracking training completion and organizing training sessions.
- Provide administrative support for HR-related projects, such as employee engagement activities, performance evaluations, and benefits administration.
- Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs in a timely and professional manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within an HR department.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and experience with HR software applications.
- Understanding of Canadian employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the HR Administrative Assistant position at Telus in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, is between $40,000 to $50,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
