Key Responsibilities For Import/Export Coordinator:
- Coordinate import and export shipments to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs documentation
- Communicate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth logistics operations
- Monitor shipment status and address any issues or delays to maintain high-quality service standards
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements
- Collaborate with carriers and customs brokers to expedite customs clearance processes
- Track and update shipment information in the system for accurate record-keeping
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in import/export coordination within the transportation and logistics industry
- Strong understanding of customs regulations, international trade laws, and documentation requirements
- Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office applications
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of transportation modes, including air, ocean, and ground freight
- Experience working with Canadian customs authorities and familiarity with CBSA regulations
- Certification in International Trade or Customs Compliance
- Fluency in additional languages to facilitate communication with international partners
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Import/Export Coordinator position at DHL Canada in Oakville, Ontario, is between $50,000 to $65,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
