Position Summary

The Investment Banker will operate remotely, supporting Cigna Group’s strategic growth initiatives through mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, legal, and regulatory assessments.
  • Develop detailed financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, comparable company, precedent transactions) to determine deal economics.
  • Prepare and present investment memoranda, pitch books, and executive summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Negotiate term sheets, purchase agreements, and other transaction documents in collaboration with legal counsel.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams, ensuring seamless integration planning and post‑deal execution.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain robust deal pipelines and reporting mechanisms to track progress and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 to 10 years of progressive experience in investment banking, corporate development, or related finance roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with a track record of successfully closing transactions.
  • Strong proficiency in due diligence methodologies across financial, operational, and legal dimensions.
  • Advanced knowledge of valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior executives and external partners.
  • Proficiency with financial modeling tools (Excel, VBA) and familiarity with data rooms and deal management software.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of collaboration and accountability.

Required Education

Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business Administration) or equivalent professional experience. Candidates with “Other” relevant qualifications, certifications, or extensive industry experience will also be considered.

Compensation & Benefits
