Key Responsibilities for IT Support Specialist:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues for employees in the Lethbridge office.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring data security and access control.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Document IT procedures and create user guides for common technical issues.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives to improve overall IT infrastructure and services.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS) and productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and data privacy regulations.
Desired Skills:
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools like ServiceNow or JIRA.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the IT Support Specialist position at Amazon Canada in Lethbridge, Alberta, is between $50,000 to $65,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
