Position Summary
Chime is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Analytics Manager - Predictive Modeling to join our growing data science team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the USA. As a Lead Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of data scientists in developing and deploying predictive models to solve complex business problems across various areas, including risk management, fraud prevention, marketing optimization, and member engagement. You will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making and shaping the future of our products and services. You will be responsible for mentoring and guiding other data scientists while also contributing to strategic decisions regarding model development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of data scientists in the development, validation, and deployment of predictive models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and translate them into actionable analytical projects.
- Design and implement advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to build accurate and scalable predictive models.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform model development.
- Evaluate model performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for data science and model governance.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and collaborate effectively with remote colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related area. Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in data science and predictive modeling.
- 3+ years of experience leading a team of data scientists.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data mining principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment, managing your time and communicating proactively.
Technical Requirements
As a fully remote employee, you will be required to maintain a suitable home office environment. This includes:
- A dedicated workspace free from distractions.
- A reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps download speed).
- A company-provided laptop and other necessary equipment. A home office stipend will be provided to assist with setting up your workspace.
- Ability to maintain consistent availability during core business hours (Pacific Time Zone preferred) for team meetings and collaboration.
Desired Skills
- Experience with cloud-based machine learning platforms such as AWS SageMaker or Google Cloud AI Platform.
- Experience with financial services or fintech industries.
- Experience with A/B testing and causal inference.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this fully remote Lead Analytics Manager - Predictive Modeling position is $180,000 - $240,000, depending on experience and location. Chime offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
