Key Responsibilities for Legal Administrative Assistant:
- Provide administrative support to the legal team, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining filing systems.
- Prepare legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in legal research, document review, and drafting correspondence under the guidance of legal professionals.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate legal processes and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor and update legal databases, calendars, and records to track deadlines and maintain organization within the department.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or certificate in Legal Administration or related field.
- Proven experience as a legal assistant or administrative assistant in a legal environment.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal software for document management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and handle confidential information with discretion.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with e-discovery platforms and legal research tools.
- Knowledge of Canadian legal system and regulations.
- Multilingual proficiency is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Legal Administrative Assistant position at Amazon Canada in London, Ontario, is between $45,000 to $55,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
