Key Responsibilities for Legal Administrative Assistant:
- Provide administrative support to the legal team, including drafting and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Maintain and organize legal files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for legal staff.
- Assist with research tasks, document preparation, and data entry as needed.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders on behalf of the legal team.
- Manage incoming inquiries and requests, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the legal team.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or certificate in Legal Administration or related field.
- Proven experience as a legal administrative assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and legal software applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a legal department within a corporate setting.
- Familiarity with corporate governance practices and processes.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
- Knowledge of e-discovery tools and electronic filing systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Legal Administrative Assistant position at Sobeys in Regina, Saskatchewan, is between $45,000 to $55,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
