Position Summary
The Legal Advisor will join Fiserv’s remote legal team to provide comprehensive legal counsel across a variety of business functions. This role is responsible for delivering strategic advice, conducting thorough legal research, negotiating contracts, supporting litigation matters, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering high‑quality legal solutions in a fast‑paced technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive legal advice to internal stakeholders on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including service agreements, licensing agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support business decisions and mitigate risk.
- Assist litigation teams by preparing documentation, coordinating discovery, and representing Fiserv in client meetings as needed.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive legal documentation, including memoranda, briefs, and policy manuals.
- Monitor and interpret applicable laws and regulations, ensuring ongoing compliance across all business units.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop risk‑management strategies and provide training on legal best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging legal issues, and regulatory changes that may affect Fiserv’s operations.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 10 years of relevant experience providing legal counsel, contract negotiation, and litigation support.
- Demonstrated expertise in legal research, legal writing, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to represent clients effectively and communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with global teams.
- Licensure to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Required Education
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law or a related field, complemented by a Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar admission.

- Experience in financial technology (FinTech) or payments industry.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and GLBA.
- Project management experience and ability to handle multiple concurrent matters.

Compensation & Benefits
Fiserv offers a competitive salary range of $64,000 to $91,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
