Key Responsibilities for Licensed Practical Nurse:
- Provide direct nursing care and support to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patient response.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct assessments, monitor vital signs, and assist with diagnostic tests.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment for patients.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma in Practical Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Current registration and licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in British Columbia.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for a Licensed Practical Nurse at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Abbotsford, British Columbia, is between $50,000 to $65,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
