Key Responsibilities for Line Cook:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Fairmont's high culinary standards
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Food Handler Certification or equivalent is an asset
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Skills:
- Culinary diploma or certification from a recognized institution
- Experience working in a hotel or fine dining establishment
- Knowledge of different cuisines and international cooking techniques
- Creativity and passion for food and culinary arts
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Line Cook position at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Regina, Saskatchewan, is between $35,000 to $45,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
