Key Responsibilities for Logistics Coordinator:
- Coordinate and optimize transportation activities, including route planning, scheduling, and tracking of shipments
- Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain adequate stock levels
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and records of all logistics activities
- Resolve any issues or delays in transportation to ensure smooth operations
- Analyze transportation costs and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven experience in logistics coordination within the transportation industry
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards in Canada
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management
- Experience with ERP systems for inventory management
- Knowledge of customs clearance processes and international logistics
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Continuous improvement mindset to streamline logistics processes
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Logistics Coordinator position at Mullen Group in Kitchener, Ontario, is between $50,000 to $60,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
