Key Responsibilities for Loss Prevention Officer:
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas within the store to prevent theft and ensure the safety of customers and employees
- Conduct surveillance through various means, including CCTV cameras, to detect suspicious behavior and potential theft
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to minimize loss and maintain a secure shopping environment
- Collaborate with store management and law enforcement authorities in investigating theft incidents and apprehending suspects
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, including theft, vandalism, and safety hazards
- Assist in training store staff on loss prevention techniques and best practices

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in loss prevention, security, or a related field
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying suspicious behavior
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Desired Skills:
- Certification in Loss Prevention or related field
- Proficiency in using CCTV surveillance systems
- Experience in conducting internal investigations
- Bilingual proficiency (English and French)
- First Aid/CPR certification

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Loss Prevention Officer position at Hudson's Bay Company in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada is between $35,000 to $45,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
