Key Responsibilities for Mailroom Clerk:
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail accurately and efficiently
- Operate postage meter machines to weigh and stamp outgoing mail
- Maintain and organize mailroom supplies and equipment
- Assist with special mailings and shipments as needed
- Ensure timely delivery of mail to appropriate departments and individuals
- Handle packages and deliveries, including logging and tracking items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mailroom area
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a mailroom or similar administrative role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and distributing mail
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in using postage meter machines and other mailroom equipment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for basic data entry tasks
- Experience with shipping software or online shipping platforms
- Customer service-oriented approach when handling mail inquiries

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Mailroom Clerk position at Microsoft in Indianapolis, Indiana is $28,000 to $35,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
