We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Moncton.
Key Responsibilities For Medical Laboratory Technologist:
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases
- Collect and analyze samples such as blood, urine, and tissue for testing
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standards
- Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret results and provide relevant information
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution
- Current certification and registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
- Experience working in a medical laboratory setting, preferably in a healthcare facility
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality control measures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and documenting results
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in using laboratory information systems and computer software for data entry and analysis
- Experience in specialized areas of laboratory testing such as microbiology or hematology
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Medical Laboratory Technologist position at London Drugs in Moncton, New Brunswick, is between $55,000 to $70,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
