Key Responsibilities For Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst:
- Conduct financial analyses and due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships
- Prepare detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses
- Assist in the development of merger and acquisition strategies and execution plans
- Evaluate target companies and industry trends to identify potential opportunities for SoFi
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deal structuring and negotiation processes
- Assist in post-merger integration activities and performance monitoring
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or mergers & acquisitions
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- CFA, CPA, or similar professional certifications
- Experience working on buy-side transactions and deal execution
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in mergers & acquisitions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven track record of successfully completing complex financial transactions
